congregation, we do not exist for our own purposes. God is calling,
gathering, enlightening and sending His people even today. What is God
calling you to do? Where is God inviting you to join Him in this mission?

Though distorted by sin, identity is a condition of creation and character. God creates all with gifts and abilities and loves all unconditionally. All people are nurtured, developed and valued in the context of family school, and community. Identity is painted by these forces in all lives as well. This morning, we are invited to reflect upon and embrace the identity we have in Christ.

Our celebration this day is reflected every Sunday throughout the year. The first day of the week is the day of resurrection. By the power Christ’s resurrection you and I are promised to live forever! Let us celebrate with the women who first visited the empty tomb with that strange combination of joy and fear, which is faith in the power of resurrection, and faith in the power of God!
